Absen PL2.5 Pro: LED Panel Optimized for On-Camera Use

Our LED panels, with a fine 2.5 mm pixel pitch, are engineered for on-camera use and tailored to the demands of virtual production. The combination of a 250 Hz refresh rate and 1/8 scan rate ensures stable, high-quality imagery while avoiding flicker, banding, or other unwanted artifacts that can interfere with the filming process.

The panels are powered by industry-standard Brompton processing, which provides precise adjustment of parameters that directly affect camera performance, including shutter speed and shutter angle. This level of control allows productions to maintain accurate color reproduction and clean, distortion-free visuals across both film and still photography.

Integrated 2D Playback, 3D Rendering and Optical Tracking

We provide both 2D playback and real-time 3D rendering in Unreal Engine, allowing productions to choose the workflow best suited to their requirements. For 2D content, Pixera media servers offer on-set control, with the ability to adjust scale, brightness, contrast, saturation, and other parameters in real time. For Unreal Engine 3D environments, the system runs on dual GPU render nodes equipped with RTXA6000 ADA cards and a ThreadRipper PRO platform, combined with optical camera tracking to ensure low-latency performance. Stage-wide synchronization is maintained through genlock and timecode, delivering frame-accurate precision throughout production.

Advanced LED Processing

The award-winning SX40 4K Tessera SX40 LED processor combines our industry-leading feature set and easy-to-use software interface with our highest-ever capacity processor.

Tessera SX40 offers support for full 4K screens at 60Hz with 12 bits per colour output. It supports a zero-latency up/down scaler that matches the source to the screen as well as all of Tessera’s industry-leading processing features. These include HDR and Dynamic Calibration as well as Extended Bit Depth, HFR+ (High Frame Rate), Frame Remapping, and more. Additionally, Stacking can be used to control multiple SX40 processors as one.
